About watchbands.ai

Most watch band mistakes start with one number: the lug width. It is rarely printed anywhere on the watch, it changes between references that look identical, and getting it wrong by a single millimetre means the band does not fit.

watchbands.ai exists to remove that guesswork. We maintain a database of tens of thousands of watch models, with brand, family, reference, case size, lug width and attachment type, and use it to match each watch with bands that actually fit.

Where the data comes from

The database is curated by hand: measurements are collected from manufacturer documentation and verified references, not scraped and forgotten. When a model has an unusual attachment (integrated bracelets, proprietary end links, drilled lugs) that is recorded too, because it changes what you can put on the watch.

Who is behind it

watchbands.ai is a project of Milano Leather Group, a Milanese company working in fine leather goods. The database grew out of two workshops: Milano Straps, which makes ready-to-wear Italian leather straps, and Casati Milano, a bespoke atelier in Milano working by appointment.

When we recommend a band, we link to those two houses. That is our bias, stated plainly. The measurements themselves carry no bias: a lug width is a lug width.
